the Best Lemon Cookies // Favorite Things

I have made these cookies for baby showers, birthday parties, football barbecues, you name it, people love them. I often double the recipe for the dough (which does not taste good, if you are a cookie dough taster), but not the glaze.  The only trick? They really do taste much better if you put the glaze on them two minutes after they come out of the oven–it hardens into a candy-like coating. They aren’t nearly as good if you wait.  Happy baking.
