Charleston Wanderings // Favorite Things

My husband and I returned this morning from a weekend trip to Charleston--we called it "10th Anniversary Celebration part 2" as our original plan didn't quite turn out the way we had intended.  I think we both fell a bit in love with the city, and if it weren't for the giant sized mosquitoes, we might have wanted to stay forever. (We would have picked up our kids from Grandma, though, first. :)

After eating more than our fair share of barbecue, fried peanuts, fresh mini donuts, fresh squeezed lemonade, and trying all sorts of southern fare at the Charleston Farmer's Market, we spent the afternoon bodysurfing at Folly Beach. The best part? We looked up midway through and saw several dolphins swimming not ten feet from us. Worst part? J got pinched by a crab after one of his rides into shore. Ouch!  Our son thought that was possibly the coolest part of our trip...
