Scraps Sew Along // Quilting + Friends

1sewscrapsalongjpg2.jpg

Have you heard about Jodi from Pleasant Home's Sew Scraps Along With Pleasant Home? She has some fun ideas for sewing and storing and USING your scraps.  I love her idea of making a yearly scrap quilt--my scrappy nine patch from 2009 (!) is almost complete--I only have about 7 inches of binding left to tack down.  I'm giving away some of my scraps as part of the sew along!

I always have a few scrappy WIPs to keep me sane when I get tired of my current projects--and they usually turn out to be some of my favorite quilts. I love swapping scraps with friends (Brooke, Kristen, and others--you may see some of yours in this pile) and am happy to be giving away a flat rate envelope full of scraps!

If you would like me to send you these scraps (and as many more as I can squeeze in a flat rate envelope), leave me a comment. I included a few scraps from current WIPS--an Amy Butler Midwest Modern baby quilt, an orange and aqua (heavy on the Heather Ross) baby quilt, and a Flea Market Fancy WIP. It is, after all, "Sew with your FMF month." I'll pick a winner Friday night!  Happy sewing.Note: I apologize for the gratuitous use of exclamation points.  Sometimes, it happens.
