Ain’t Love Grand–Preschool Edition

***The  online Valentine’s Day auction for my friend, Jenny Reeder, runs from February 14th (tomorrow!) at 9am (ET) and ends February 15th at 10pm (ET).  My custom quilt for auction is here!***

The following is a glimpse into my morning carpool. It is nothing if not hilarious

Boy: Here is your Valentine, E. I printed your name in my very best handwriting.

Girl: Aw, thanks! (Pulls out googly-eyed heart and giggles, which apparently was the right reaction.)

Boy: Look! The sucker says “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Girl (who can read): Uh, no it doesn’t. It says, “Kiss me.”

Silence.

Giggles.

Unison: Ewwww!

Boy: We don’t do that.

Girl: Yeah, we don’t kiss. Just pretend kiss.

Boy: Yeah. Just pretend.

Girl: Until we are 15. Then we can kiss.

Boy: Yeah!!!!

Oh dear… I hope you all feel the love today!

That’s hilarious! But 15???? I was hoping it was more like 20! I don’t want to think about my baby girl kissing anyone for at least another 15 years (and she’s 4)!
