Being a DC Tourist // Favorite Things

Every once in a while, I enjoy taking a break from everyday life by spending some time being a tourist in my own area. There is so much to see and do–and this collage represents some of my favorite places that we hit last week: National Gallery of Art, FDR Memorial, Mt. Vernon, the Capitol, my neighborhood, US Botanic Gardens, and the George Washington Masonic Temple. No wonder I was exhausted last weekend!  Note: I did not purchase a psychedelic DC sweatshirt. I did wear my running shoes to Mt. Vernon. :)

These pictures remind me about why I miss being in that area! I used to live in the NYC area and went to DC at least a few times a year…I miss all of those sites! Thanks for giving me a little reminder of what all is nice about our nation’s capital…lawmakers may not agree on anything, but at least it can be nice to look at!
