Swim Flags Zipper Pouch // Sewn

After a few time-consuming Summer Sampler Blocks, I needed to make something quick and simple for a friend! If you have ever swam on a team, or been to a swim meet, you might recognize these as backstroke flags. Perfect for a friend who has newly discovered the love of swimming!

I love the lining fabric the most–DS Quilts–I seem to line pouches in my favorite fabrics… it’s like a secret bonus or something. Happy sewing!

I do the same thing with pouches in my favorite fabric! Love it!

It turned out so cute. I appreciate your tidy zipper edge! BTW, I’m going to post today about block #4 and would like to use an image from your post (with a link, of course). If you’d prefer I didn’t, please let me know!

I love putting special fabrics in the lining, too! I think it’s because that makes it feel EXTRA handmade…most mass-produced things don’t go that extra mile.
