On Saturday, I was overjoyed to see our neighbors outside on their first walk with their son. He was born very premature, and after living in the NICU for 8.5 months, he is finally home. He is precious and beautiful and I’ll admit, I started to tear up a little bit, knowing what a tough road they have traveled, and will yet travel. I have wanted to make a quilt for this baby for a long time–and I think the timing is right now. I made the quilt top on Saturday, despite the many other things I have going on. This is one I am especially happy to deliver–welcome to the neigbhorhood, baby!

P.S. It is quilts like this that I think are in the spirit of 100 Quilts for Kids!
I used Prince Charming by Tula Pink and two Westminster solids. I loved the toile on toile star!
