100 Quilts for Kids: Link Up Your Quilts!

Hip, Hip, Hurray! The first link-up for 100 Quilts for Kids starts today. I have been talking and thinking about this for such a long time, I can't believe the day is finally here. If you have donated a quilt to a child in need in the last 2 weeks, you are eligible for some fun prizes.  Please copy and paste a link to a picture of your quilt (posted on a website, blog, photobucket, flickr account (free to sign up), etc.) at the bottom of this post.  If you aren't able to link up, but have a picture of the quilt, you can always email it to me (swimbikequilt at gmail dot com) and I can link up for you.  Thanks so much for stopping by, for making a quilt, for making the world a bit of a better place for a child in your community, for sharing your talents, and for inspiring me in so many ways.

Basic Information

Make a quilt. Donate said quilt to an organization in your community. Link up here to be eligible for prizes! More information here. If you don't have someone in mind for your quilt, try the local women's or homeless shelter, children's hospital, foster care program, etc.  Other good options (and there are many) include

Project Linus

, Margaret's Hope Chest,

Central Texas Wildfire Quilt Drive

, and

Quilt Bug's NE Flood Victim Quilt Drive

.  The more quilts you make, the better your chances of winning a prize. I know it isn't why we make charity quilts, but it is a fun incentive. A full list of sponsors and prizes is available here.
