100 Quilts for Kids--Ready, Set, Go!

We are two days into our 100 Quilts for Kids quilt drive! I have been dashing here and there, getting fabric donated and bundled and into the hands of quilters, who will do the real work, and for once, I have had nothing to say. Weird, eh?

DC Modern and my monthly sewing group (well, not mine. I'm just a member :) met last night to sew up a storm. Our numbers were small but I was amazed by how much we could get done in a short amount of time. Quilt along quilts, patchwork, strip quilts, four-patches, even a maze. Can't wait to see the pictures popping up in flickr. I'm dashing off to a 2nd DC Modern quilt-in in an hour while my family enjoys a breezy 65 degree morning at the pumpkin patch/fall festival extravaganza.

[I made a strip quilt from the stack on right  and have since added fabric to the giveaway stack on the right to spice it up!]

I have so appreciated those who have made (or will make) quilts for kids in needs, who have donated fabulous prizes, and who have mentioned 100 Quilts on their blog, fb, etc. Thank you, friends!

Finally, I have an extra charm pack (+6) from those cut last night. I'd love to send it (and a coordinating yard of Red Letter Day) to someone who is participating in 100 Quilts. Leave a comment with the title of your favorite book (random, but if I'm going to meet my goal of reading three really good books this year, I need some inspiration!) My friend random.org will pick a winner on Wednesday, 9/21.
