A Virginia Fall // The Great Outdoors

I am a California girl, through and through. Or so I think. And then fall hits, and I walk through local neigbhorhoods, and I’m overwhelmed by the beauty of it all.  And I LOVE Virginia. Then January hits and the snow comes and I reassess. But anyway, I needed to take some pictures today, so I called my friend B–she is the resident expert on all things fall (thanks!)  This neighborhood didn’t disappoint, and I got some great pictures that made my projects look much better than they really are :) The icing on the cake was being startled by a noise, turning around, and seeing two deer five feet from me.

Hope your weekend is happy and relaxing. I have been told by my daughter “no quilt, mama. Put it away” more than once this last week, so I’m going to take some time to clean up my messes and play with my kids.

it wouldn’t be virginia if there weren’t several dozen deer lurking in the wings.
