A bit different than my usual aesthetic–this is the quilt top for my month of the do.Good Stitches bee. I’m calling it the Old School Library quilt, because it reminds me of the stacks at the old-school library DC Modern met at today! The members of the Trust Circle made these blocks (+ 2 on the back) from a tutorial by Alissa as part of her Sew Mama Sew Block of the Month. If I were to make all of the blocks myself, I think this pattern would work well for an improv quilt. I had a few hours to make my blocks and stitch up the top (and back) today. Always good to sew with friends, new and old. Hope you have a great weekend. We were sad to say goodbye to my sister, but we had a great time with her, and even finished her quilt!

Kate, I love it! It’s neat to see a whole quilt made up of that block, which I’ve always liked. Very cool.
Beautiful! I love that block!

Love how this turned out and love the backdrop!
That is a cool quilt and it is a great reminder of how book shelf’s look. That reminds me the kids have yet to stand the books back up I have asked them to do 3-4 times this week.
