City Grid Mini // Finished Modern Quilts

City Grid is my entry for Jennifer’s Modern Mini Challenge–the link-up at Ellison Lane Quilts closes today, so pop on over even if you aren’t linking up a quilt. I made this City Grid block over a year ago out of scraps from my Pocket Full of Sunshine Quilt.  This weekend, I decided to turn it into a mini for Jennifer’s challenge, and voila!  Quilted, bound, and already in my daughter’s stroller for her babies. I love the colors and fabrics, and the block (tutorial here) is so much fun to put together and a great use of scraps!

And finally, a “sneak peek” at Pocket Full of Sunshine. Thanks to my mom, the quilt top is actually finished! Here’s to actually working on my favorite quilts in the WIP pile. Don’t worry, J. Your’s is next :)

Love your mini. I wish I could get the improv thing down. I am a total dork at anything but a specific pattern.

Ooh, it looks fab, and love those blocks! I’ve started hacking up some charms to make some of these blocks, but I’ve a way to go yet with my scrap collecting :oD
