This Week: Raffles and Binding

If you can believe it, these two quilts are quilted and ready for binding! Which is a good thing, since the top quilt is my Old School Library quilt, which is overdue as part of the Trust Circle for do.Good Stitches. I have had a great six months with wonderfully generous and talented quilters, and am sad to be stepping down for the time being. Mostly because of things like the next sentence: I am donating the bottom one to our school’s raffle. Which is also coming up. Which I am also in charge of.  If you have ever organized a raffle (ah, a little bit at the last minute, although for once it’s not my fault) and you have any tips or “what not to do’s” I’d sure appreciate hearing about it in the comments. Thanks!

I LOVE the colors on these two quilts… and I’m so bummed I missed sewing night on Friday. I miss you…

The only thing on a raffle – especially quilts – set a minimum start bid – or insist a minimum must be reached or returned to donor.

Oh who’s taking your spot in do good stitches? Or is it over? I need to read quilt blogs more… Darn.
