Have you heard about the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild's EZ Dresden Challenge? SLMQG has teamed up with EZ Quilting/Simplicity and a host of other manufacturers to celebrate Darlene Zimmerman’s 20th Anniversary designing quilting tools for EZ Quilting. They are hosting a challenge — Use the EZ Dresden Ruler to create a project, then enter it to win amazing prizes from our sponsors!

I'm excited to participate--two of my sister-in-laws are part of the SLMQG and I'm always a bit jealous of the fun they seem to have.  I have seen a preview of a lot of the projects and have been happily surprised to see how many different things can be made with a dresden ruler. Who knew?

My project uses the dresden ruler to make faux improv squares--I thought it would be a fun way for people to ease into improv if they haven't tried it already, and the result is pretty fun.

I linked to Fabric Tuesday and WIP Wednesday this week.
