It’s week 5 of the 100 Quilts for Kids Blog Hop! These two quilters need no introduction, but I will say this: there are so many blogs one could read. I appreciate that Dana and Heather’s blogs both read as authentic–you can tell they are comfortable in their own skin and style.
Check out the beautiful strip-pieced quilt by Dana Bolyard of Old Red Barn Co. In addition to being a soap making, triathlon-shooting, expert gardening, quilter, Dana also hosts a very fun Old Red Barn Co quilt along group–you might have seen the Granny Squares Quilt Along? It looks like another quilt along is starting this fall!
Heather Jones blogs at Olive & Ollie, and shares an improv log cabin tutorial that would be perfect for a charity quilt. Or any quilt . She is speaking at Quilt Con in the Spring, and I love her aesthetic. She finds inspiration in unique places, and I think our phones must be full of similar pictures–I’m always snapping “inspiration found” pictures, much to the laughter of my kids.
