Helix Quilt // Works in Progress

WIP: this is what I pull out when my current projects start making my brain hurt
I’m working hard on a few projects right now–you know the type of sewing that sometimes makes your head hurt? I have projects like that in spades right now. This is the project I pull out when I need a bit of mindless sewing. I’m loving this version of the helix quilt in pink and aqua–it’s fun to pull my favorite fabrics and use them all in one quilt!  Can’t wait to deliver it to my friend Danelle.  (Design by The Tulip-Patch, from McCalls Quick Quilts)

What a gorgeous WIP! I love projects you can just do without having to really think about, and that final design is quite stunning in comparison to the simplicity of the blocks.

Oh I know exactly what you mean. My WIP this week was also a nice break from the norm. It’s nice to just do something easy and fun every once in a while.
