I can’t take credit for anything about this quilt other than the fact that I provided some fabric, showed up, and sewed for a few hours. Sometimes a quilt has nothing to do with design, fabric selection, 1/4” seams, or block placement, and everything to do with love, and peace, and hope. A collaboration by friends for a family who is experiencing a heartbreaking loss. Love and prayers (and a snuggly, cheery quilt) to the Thomas family from your Virginia friends.

So sweet. And that’s just what a quilt is for. Sometimes I forget and just get lost in all the pretty fabric and awesome patterns. But really, THIS is why we quilt. Great job ladies. The Thomas family will really be touched and know how much they’re loved.
How true, Katie! Beautiful quilt and a lovely gesture of hope to a hurting family…..
What a beautiful quilt! I’m sure the family will find comfort in it.
Wrapping yourself up in a quilt made for you with love…there is nothing more comforting.
I think these are the best kind of quilts. Something about a snuggly quilt says “I love you” in more ways than you are able to say in words
