Thank you to everyone has made a quilt for a local child in need (or who will be finishing one up stat!) Don’t forget–everyone who has linked up a quilt at this 100 Quilts for Kids blog post is eligible for the prizes–you don’t have to do anything else. The linky post will close at 11:59 (ET) on October 15–and I’ll draw prizes using random.org later that week. I’ll just be getting back from the Sewing Summit, so it may take me a few days…
I’ve gone back and forth about how to work the “prizes” each year, and I’m sure I’ll switch some things up for next year. I know that the reason each of us make a quilt for someone else has nothing to do with prizes, but a little incentive/reward is fun for everyone. I have scaled back this year and only asked a few manufacturers and shops that I love to participate–I hope you give the sponsors some love, and good luck!

Amy from Badskirt has a great post about her experience with Aurifil–I personally love this brand of thread and have enjoyed the thread I’ve won from Sewing Summit, received from Aurifil, and purchased. There will be several Aurifil winners.
Pam carries a wonderful range of modern fabrics–if you have your eye on something, she probably has it. She has been a big supporter of 100 Quilts, and is an online shop located in my city… the closest thing to an awesome modern LQS I have. Pam is giving away a layer cake of Mama Said Sew by Sweetwater.
Happy Quilting Patterns
Melissa offered 3 sets of her pdf patterns–thanks Melissa!
I love Lissa Alexander from Moda–Lissa always has something fun up her sleeve. Moda sent some pre-cuts that would be perfect for quilts for kids, charity or not! Check out the Moda Bake Shop for fun patterns that work perfectly with pre-cuts.
My Fabric Friend
A new to me shop, Karolyn contacted me to see if I would like a layer cake to make a quilt out of (on the blog tomorrow) and if she could give away a layer cake! Thanks Karolyn–and enjoy browsing her shop–she has a great variety of Moda and Riley Blake pre-cuts that are waiting to made into something wonderful. And! There is a coupon code for everyone else! Use SBQ20 for 20% off your order.
Westminster Fabric
I’m excited that Westminster is donating pre-cuts! Kaffe Fassett Jelly Rolls from Rowan and Free Spirit Essentials–solids and prints. So pretty!
Amanda’s shop is beautiful–she offers pre-cuts and FQ bundles of the latest modern lines. If you really want the whole line, but don’t need a FQ bundle, she even offers Fat Eighth bundles. I always have something in my etsy cart that I’m waiting to hit “purchase” from Westwood Acres… Win a $30 gift certificate from Westwood Acres!
