Tree Study: Tutorial and Giveaway

Tree Study2

Yesterday, I shared Tree Study on the FreeSpirit blog— I had a lot of fun making this wall hanging as part of Week 10 of FreeSpirit’s 12 Weeks of Christmas.

Since it is already December (how did that happen?), I wanted to design something simple that featured  the rich colors in Anna Maria Horner’s Field Study line.  The saturated, bold colors work well in this holiday wall hanging (or pillow), but the colors don’t scream “Christmas.”

I hope you will check it out!

I have a Field Study charm pack to giveaway–just leave me a comment and I’ll draw a number on Thursday evening. Thanks!
The winner of the charm pack is giddy99December 4, 2012 1:29 PM

So cute! Thanks for the tutorial!

i really like how your tree doesn’t use traditional holiday colors but is still festive.

  2. Posted December 4, 2012 at 1:59 pm | Permalink

I saw that yesterday it’s pretty smart!

  3. Posted December 4, 2012 at 2:08 pm | Permalink

Guess what I am going to be making soon? It just could be the Tree Study Wallhanging. This is such a cool idea. The giveway of the Field Study Charm pack would even be nicer and such a great compliment. I enjoy your blog very much. Thank you for giving all of us a chance to win.

I’m with you– the prints and colors feel festive without whapping you over the head with “Christmas!” and since I’ve just moved into a new space with only half of my previous holiday decorations, your tree feels like a doable project that I can fit into the rest of my preparation craziness. 😉
