low-definition-quilt_swimbikequiltI'm happy to share my Low Definition 2 quilt with you today. I loved making this quilt, and am looking forward to teaching the quilt as part of an Intro to Improv Piecing class on April 13, from 12-4 (I think!) at Capital Quilts in Maryland.I made the quilt using these fabrics, and I'll post more about it in a few weeks.

low-definition-quilt_swimbikequilt_2I love how the organic wavy lines look on the back, and the touch of color on the left hand side of the quilt.  This kind of quilting is actually quite simple if you use a walking foot. I let the needle kind of wander back and forth, make sure not to cross my lines, and try turn gradually so that there aren't any stark curves.  Amazingly, by the time you are done, it actually looks great!

It is officially Spring Break in Northern Virginia, which means... SNOW! What a *fun* surprise. I am going to take the week off from sewing and blogging, and I'll see you here next Monday with a fun post about the new Threadbias Quilt Design Tool.   I also moved over to Wordpress over the weekend, and need some time to work out the bugs. Thanks!
