Aqua, Yellow, and Low Volume // Color My Quilt

Baby quilt all cut out! #quiltforbabyNolan

Last summer, I made a helix quilt for my friend Danelle‘s daughter. I’m excited to be making another one for my nephew (who should be joining the world in a week or two!) at my sister’s request. Or maybe it will just be a half square triangle quilt. I’m just waiting for my Quilter’s Quick Quarter-12″to get here and I should be good to go–the helix pattern has a lot of half square triangles. Until then, I’ll just admire the pretty fabric and get caught up on organizing my (always) overflowing sewing space.

I love Summersville for boy quilts! The fabrics look great together- very soothing. I bought one of those rulers last weekend, I can’t wait to try it out!

Me too! Summersville is one of my favorite lines. I sneak it into projects here and there, awaiting time to use more of it!

I love your choice of fabrics and I’m slightly envious that you clearly have a very healthy stash and more importantly ROOM for a healthy stash! I’d never seen a Helix quilt pattern before (how is that possible?) but it looks great!

Healthy is a nice way to put it. Excessive is the word I usually use! It lives on shelves in my tiny (but much appreciated) garage!
