DIY Sewing Table // Works in Progress

drop in table_swimbikequilt

My parents are in town for a bit, and my dad has graciously spent a good chunk of his vacation customizing this Ikea table for me. I am soooooo excited for drop in table for my machine! It’s impossible to say how happy this makes me.

Thanks, Dad, for all of your excellent work, and thanks, Mom, for running to Home Depot numerous times and holding down the fort. I feel like the luckiest woman ever.  I can’t wait to use it (and show it off properly!)

We started with this DIY Ikea Sewing Table by From Marta With Love and went from there.

I’m also going to take a bit of a break from regular quilting and blogging. I am not sure what that break will look like– it might just be a change in focus (a bit more DIY and swimming included), or I might post sporadically for a bit. I’m re-evaluating this blog, what I would like it to be, and plan to spend much of my sewing time swimming and playing with the kids.

I hope you don’t leave for too long! I enjoy reading your blog!
How do you like your Janome machine? I’m trying to talk my husband into buying me one for Christmas :) I’m also thinking Bernina…but the Janome is much more affordable.
