Fall in Virginia // The Great Outdoors

I am convinced it is impossible NOT to love fall if you live in Northern Virginia. We took advantage of a beautiful fall day and spent time with the cousins, riding bikes at Jones Point (our favorite place!)

And if you are looking for a funky holiday gift for a favorite child in your life, check out this doll bike seat on Amazon my daughter got from her aunt Amber for her birthday last week. So cool!

And one more picture, just because. I’ve been spending lots of time with these two, and trying to get my house back in order after the epic move-all-of-the-furniture-around game we have been playing. I’m trying to be less “busy” but I must admit, I have about 12 blog posts written in my head, so hopefully I’ll find some time to pop in here. I also have some fun quilt market pictures to share, perhaps tomorrow will be the day! Happy adventuring, friends.

And thanks so much to everyone who has linked up quilt backs in The Other Side of the Quilt Linky Party, as well as responded to my question about what you would share with a Blogging 101 presentation. I wish I would have asked the question a few years ago, it’s made me think a lot about why I blog and what I blog about. Seriously, thank you! So many good ideas, I look forward to posting a synopsis here after my talk next week.

p.s. the winner of the charm packs from the Blogging 101 giveaway is Sarah from Isabella the Cat! Yay, Sarah.

I agree the weather is so perfect this time of year.. My girls demanded to get on their rain gear and go for a nice, long walk today. Too hard to stay inside. It’s almost worth suffering through the steamy mid-Atlantic summers to get to the long, beautiful fall that we are blessed with every year! Almost….
