photo from Katie’s Korner, used with permission
This quilt top was finished in 2012 by Katie Bowlby of Katie’s Korner’s . Katie’s great-great-grandmother shortly before she passed away in 1932. Katie received the quilt from an aunt a few years ago, hoping she would be able to finish it. And what a beautiful finish it is!! Read more about it in a blog post she wrote in August 2012.
Thanks for sharing, Katie!

I am looking for quilts that are beautiful, quilts that have great stories, quilts that are funky or fun, quilts that are unique, quilts that were made by your great great grandmother–basically, great vintage quilts. I will be posting on Sundays, and the first Monday of each month I plan to post a block tutorial based on one of the vintage quilts featured here.
