Geranium Dress + Arizona Fabric // Sewn

I'm so happy to be the last stop on the blog tour for April Rhodes' new fabric line Arizona with Art Gallery Fabrics.  April's fabric line is one of the new AGF Limited Edition lines.  There are 8 cotton prints, 2 knits, and 1 voile!  The cotton prints obviously work well for quilts, and I think they are perfect for clothing.  Art Gallery cotton drapes nicely, and the prints show really well in clothing. (My friend Nicole from Finch Sewing Studio made an awesome Arizona clutch, tote bag, and peplum. Check it out!)My mom is still in town, and was so nice and made my daughter this dress.

We love the Geranium dress by Made by Rae around here--it has a few sleeve and neckline options that really help to switch it up. I love this version, its so cute with the flutter sleeves and the Tomahawk Stripe print.  We cut the dress out on the cross-grain so the stripes would be vertical.

I sent the dress to Pittsburgh this week, and you may be able to spy it in one of the Art Gallery booths at Quilt Market (the semi-annual industry trade show going on this weekend. I wish I was going but am sitting this one out).I have a fat quarter bundle of the 8 cotton prints to give away! Please leave a single comment with your favorite summer travel spot (in homage to Arizona, a beautiful state!) for a chance to win. I"ll announce the winner on Monday. Thanks! There are some beautiful Arizona projects showcased on the blog hop--make sure to check them out!
