Earlier this week, I posted a picture of a quilt in progress using large scale prints from the Laura Gunn line Vignette, which is still available for purchase (print name is Scattered Posies in Charcoal, also available in Olive). As soon as I got the fabric, I made this cute dress for my (then) baby. Where has the time gone?!  Unfortunately, my phone took a swim in a reservoir shortly after I took this, and I hadn't backed it up in a while, so this is the only photo I have of her in the dress.I love sewing with tiny scale prints, and thought I would share a roundup of some of my favorite small prints, especially great for making clothes for little girls.

Liberty of LondonMy sewing bucket list includes making a dress out of Liberty for one of my girls. I should probably do it soon, before the baby gets any bigger and it requires more fabric! When I lived in Portland, I bought my Liberty from Modern Domestic [photo taken there].

London CallingRobert Kaufman has a line of fabric (with multiple releases) called London Calling--small prints perfect for little (and not so little) clothes. The above print is one of my favorites, click here for info.Cotton and Steel LawnCotton and Steel seems to have a print to fit every occasion, right? Have you sewn anything with their lawn prints? I purchased this print on sale recently, its waiting to be made into something beautiful!

Brush Strokes Fabric

Brush Strokes Fabric

Brush Strokes FabricIf you are looking for something that is more geometric, I love this line! We (my sisters in law, mother in law, and myself) recently purchased a variety of prints to make dresses and skirts for my daughters and nieces out of Holly DeGroot's Brush Strokes fabric for Easter. I can't wait to see how they turn out! I might make my son a skinny tie out of this print, too.

Friedlander Something different altogether, this is from Carolyn Friedlander's line, Friedlander, and I think it would make the cutest little shirt/skirt/dress--great for ties or shirts for boys, too.Happy sewing! And if you have more suggestions, leave a comment. thanks!
