Spring Sewing // Works in Progress

Spring-Sewing.jpg

Ironically, I'm posting a picture of pretty spring sewing at a time when the Utah ski resorts are getting blasted with snow! [I am not complaining!]Prior to "spring break," we have had warmer weather, complete with bike rides, spring flowers, and lots of time spent outside.  I have had these pretty Vignette fabrics (designer: Laura Gunn) for 2 years, and with the spring weather, they started calling to me!I used 5.5'' x 8.5'' rectangles--most of the designs in this line are large scale prints, and I didn't want to cut them up too small. I originally had additional solids mixed in, and had arranged them in a more random arrangement. It looked good in small doses, and not so good as an entire quilt. I texted photo after photo to my mom, until she suggested a simple checkerboard. So glad she did!How would you quilt this quilt? I'm thinking maybe loops or large paisleys?
