Mug Rug Swap: Pocket Park, a photo by kate @ swim, bike, quilt! on Flickr.
Note: My Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Post is here
As soon as I found out who my partner in this round of the mug rug swap was, I knew exactly what I was going to make. I hope she likes it. I don’t want to reveal too much, but if you are local, you might be able to pick out Dupont Circle on the back, and my interpretation of Oh Fransson’s Mod Mosaic block, which I call City Grid, on the front. Can you see the pocket parks?
Two more random things. I can always tell when I am in good shape when I can easily touch my toes. Funny, but true. I am no where near touching my toes right now, and I have a triathlon scheduled for about 6 weeks away. Not good, not good at all. I need to do more running and less sewing, apparently.
And finally, I opened my google reader this morning and was thrilled to see a work in progress picture of this quilt on Rita of Red Pepper Quilts’ blog. Going to be a good day, I think. Happy Wednesday, folks.
