Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to pay more attention to the other side of the quilt--the quilt back! I have been perusing instagram, flickr, and quilt blogs, and thought it would be fun to put together a collection of inspiring pieced quilt backs.I need your help for that! I hope you will link up a pieced quilt back (or 10) that you have made. The linky party starts today and I plan to leave it open for a few months.  Add quilt backs as you make them! Instructions  on how to "link up" are at the end of this post, and please link back to this post or my blog on your blog or flickr. Thanks in advance!I'm including a few pieced quilt backs I have made over years. Happy sewing! quilt back

Often, when I am finished with the front of a quilt, I just want to get it done. I have spent all of my creativity (and sometimes patience) on the front. However, the fun, modern, and beautiful pieced quilt backs I have added to my Pinterest board (The Other Side of the Quilt) have inspired me a little more thoughtful as I make the quilt back.IMG_1683

I'll be back next week with some tips for piecing quilt backs--until then, thanks for linking up your quilts!Back of the Quilt

P.S.  Rita from Red Pepper Quilts often pieces her quilt backs, and they are always beautiful. I resisted pinning all of them to my board, but check them out-- here are a few favorites-- Lady of the Lake, Nursery Versery Quilt, and Bayou.P.P.S. Here is the back of the quilt I just finished quilting! It's a little crazy, but I was happy to use up the 3 blue fat quarters. Love them!
