Stitched DC Quilt Gallery Exhibit // Favorite Things
I have been a part of the DC Modern Quilt Guild since the very beginning, and served unofficially as the President for 2 years or so. I am so happy with where the guild is today, and I'm so proud of the group, individually and collectively.
I mentioned last week that we are participating in our first guild show, an installation at the Anacostia Arts Center called Stitched DC (admission is free). Here are a few fun pictures of the show's opening last Saturday. It was so nice to see the beautiful quilts, so many people in attendance, and to meet many of the guild members' friends and family members.
I took these pictures before anyone got there, but I am happy to say the place was packed! Finally, as a reminder, there is a speaker event and pop up shop at the Arts Center on March 8. Tickets and more information available here.
