My Sugarhouse Quilt // Finished Quilts
New Pattern In Two Sizes
The Sugarhouse Quilt is made of 5 supersized traditional quilt blocks that I included as part of the Summer Sampler 2016, and is a block I just couldn’t get out of my head. I love the many variations this pattern lends itself to.
It comes in two sizes: twin sized [74’’ x 90’’], and throw size [54’’ x 54’’—the quilt construction is the same, you just leave off the borders].
In this picture, you can see the original colors I used for the pattern. I just didn't love how they were turning out, and I'm glad I opted for the greens. I think if I had switched that center square for a lighter coral or a white, I would have loved it.
This pattern looks completely different depending on fabric choices and fabric placement. As always, the pattern comes with a coloring page and 4 color variations to help you think outside the box, if you want to take that path.
This quilt was quilted by Abby Latimer, and I love how the quilting turned out. I wrote more about the quilt here.
Isn't this a breath of fresh air on a cold winter day?! Can't wait for tulips in my garden again.
