New Quilt Pattern // Treasure Box Quilt

Treasure Box Quilt

The Treasure Box Quilt is a great quilt pattern for long hoarded treasures [anyone have beloved charm packs or FQ Bundles in your stash?!] Or, dig into your scraps—it’s so satisfying! It is simple to sew, and measures 53’’ x 57-1/2’’.

This 8 page pattern has clear instructions, full color illustrations, and a coloring page to help plan your quilt.

This version was made with Ruby Star Society fabrics and Essex Linen [so many fun prints], and I made one from some favorite scraps c.2012 that I will share soon, hence the name: Treasure Box Quilt.

The nice thing about this pattern is it looks great with solids, or prints, or a combination of both. Have a charm pack that you want to use? Add additional coordinating fabric and make it go farther.

The Treasure Box Quilt uses approximately (80) 5’’ squares, or 8 fat quarters or quarter yards of fabric.

I used Essex Linen on this quilt for a little added texture. And this Allison Glass stripe is one of my favorites—so fun for the binding. [This quilt was quilted by Abby Latimer, I love the clamshells!]

As a bonus, I used up some fabric I had lying around for the back of the quilt. Win, win!
