Hi friends! I'm so excited to introduce Holladay Star, block #18 in the Summer Sampler 2016. This is the last (of 3) blocks that I designed for the sampler [the other two are Sugarhouse and Piccolo Park], and a fun take on a traditional star block.If you don't love curves, or they make you nervous, repeat after me: "If Katie can make this, I can make this." But seriously, the pattern gives you a little bit of leeway, and once you sew and trim the quarter curve blocks, you are good to go!

I mocked up a few different color combinations/color placement examples for you--happy sewing!This is the example from the block mockup--Lee's block will look something like this
Fun to see an ombre block, and it's reverse
This one almost gets rid of the star entirely--it is similar to Lee's Trail Crossing block, with a twist.
