I just love Spring Star, Block #10 of the Summer Sampler 2017.  This block was made for bold prints, don't you think?! How much do I like this block? Enough to unpick quite a bit because thecenter wasn't even close to kind of matching. Ha

!I have enjoyed using so many different prints by Anna Maria Horner in this quilt (and especially this block). Don't forget to check out the #summersampler2017 hashtag, lots of beautiful and varied blocks will start popping up today.

One quick tip when making this paper pieced block--when you put right sides together, match up the fabric (to the right of the pin) and not the corners of the pieces. You can see here there is a little triangle overlap (to the right of the word "allowance") when you match seams, not pattern pieces.  When I first sewed 2 pieces together, I tried to match up the corners of the pattern pieces. It doesn't work!
