Modern Crossing Quilt // A Finished Modern Quilt

I've been finishing up some short term and long term projects, including my Modern Crossing Quilt. [Pattern by Eliane at Patchwork and Poodles]. I used some Kona Cotton in Silver that I happened to have, paired it with Essex Linen in Peacock (it is hard to photograph but it is an awesome, almost shimmery blue/teal), and Lizzy House's Constellation reprint. I gifted this quilt to a darling friend who just got married.

I’m a big fan of prints that read as solid from far away, and this one is just so much.

Abby Latimer quilted this on in a wave pattern—you can see here that the quilt is oriented in two different ways, and the pattern looks equally cool in a vertical wave.

They got married in August, as you can see, it was more like a snowy Thankgsiving delivery.

I bought 5 yards of this print a few years ago to back quilts—Joel Dewbery had an amazing studio sale, and I love how it looks on the back of this!

I always have multiple quilts on my design wall. I need a bigger design wall. I’m also glad I didn’t accidentally incorporate that Summer Sampler block into the quilt. It made me laugh when I saw this photo!
