Finished Summer Sampler 2021 Quilt Top
Today is the day! I’m so excited to share my completed Summer Sampler 2021 Quilt Block! It was a weird summer for me, and I didn’t blog about this quilt very much [as in I skipped 11/13 of the blocks]. If you are on instagram, you can see all of my blocks here. I even have my own Summer Sampler hashtag (I’ve made a lot of blocks over the years)
Sewing a Summer Sampler Block is the only thing that has kept my plants in my sewing room alive this summer, lol. Other wise I don’t think I would have remembered to water them at all, since it was a decidedly sewing-free summer, otherwise.
I think I am going to bind this quilt in black and white stripes, since I liked how the striped tape looked with it. I’m going to back it in minky, drop it off to get long armed, and gift it to some people I love, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I loved how all of these blocks looked together!
I love my giant, wall sized design wall. Want to make your own?

Skill level: Confident Beginner. We assume you have basic quilting knowledge such as general fabric cutting and pressing knowledge, the ability to sew a consistent 1/4" seam, and familiarity with the terminology used in quilt patterns.
Block construction: 12 of the 13 blocks use basic (traditional) piecing techniques. 1 block uses foundation paper-piecing. (If you have never paper-pieced before, our "Beginner's Guide to Paper-Piecing" is included with purchase.) 4 blocks use curved piecing. There is no appliqué in this sampler pattern.
