Swimming the Race // Swim, Bike, Run

Have you ever heard about triathletes who have had someone swim over the top of them during a race? I was so that swimmer today (shrug).  Because we were in a relay, we started in the sixth (and final) wave. That meant that the water was significantly choppier than I expected (really, who needs a water bottle when you swallow half of the lake). It also meant that I had to swim through a lot of swimmers, several waves in fact, to get to the finish.  I am sure I swam over at least one person, and at one point, my teeth collided with the feet of a swimmer in front of me. Ouch! Despite feeling a little bit sheepish about my swimming today, we had a great time! More to come later...P.S. I am in this picture, somewhere. I'm hoping near the front!
