Announcing the Designers + Layout for Summer Sampler 2018
It is my favorite time of the year--Summer Sampler time!
This year, starting May 14, the Faith, Lee and I and 10 of our designer friends are taking you on a summer adventure, with a new block each week inspired by travel and far-flung places!
Each year, we take a summer road trip, and our last few have been centered around National Parks in the American West--I'm looking forward to taking a virtual road trip this summer all over the globe! We are so pleased to announce the Summer Sampler Quilt Along guest designers and share the quilt along quilt mockup with you today!
We have mocked it up in 3 different color ways, and Sewtopia will be offering solids kits [10% off if you pre-order here], and so will Mad About Patchwork in Canada!! We have 10 guest designers this year, with a total of 18 blocks to make an 80'' x 80'' quilt, and we hope you will follow them on Instagram [if you don't already!] and get to know them all a little better.

Fabric requirements for the blocks:
Approximately 2-1/2 yards of white for the blocks and a total of 3 yards of colored fabric to make the blocks, as well as 1 yard of white for the border and 4-5 yards of solids for the hourglass filler blocks. More detailed information is available in our Welcome PDF that you can download on purchase.

3 Layouts
This year, we are sharing three different color ways of the same unique sampler layout!There is a cool color way and warm color way (the Kona cottons we suggest are in the welcome packet that you get when you purchase!) We suggest using Cotton and Steel pigment (ombre) fabrics if you want to make the rainbow quilt! Faith has a post about the Ombre fabrics she used for last year's sampler here.
