This is block #12 for the Summer Sampler. Designed by Debbie Jeske of A Quilter's Table,  this block was inspired by a view from the roof of the Milan Cathedral [aka Duomo di Milano]. Make sure to check out her blog post to see her incredible photos!

12 destinations, and we are doing a decent job of traveling the world. Looking forward to "visiting" Jordan next week.I was curious to see what this block would look like in repeat, and I think it looks awesome! 25 Milan blocks and you would have a stunning quilt. This block isn't hard to piece--my two tips--make sure you cut accurately and sew slowly. I know lots of people say to sew a scant 1/4'' seam when there are so many tiny pieces. But I find when I do that, my block ends up being too big. I have better luck when I slow down and concentrate. Who has time for that ;)

Remember, it’s not too late to join us—click here for all the details! And while you’re at it, visit #summersampler2018 on Instagram to see the blocks everyone else has been making for the last 12 weeks!

See you next Monday for lucky block #13.
