Braddock Road Quilt Pattern--the Solids Version
This is the Braddock Road Quilt Pattern, originally designed for a (now defunct) quilting magazine. This digital PDF quilt pattern includes directions for a throw size quilt (68'' x 76''). This graphic, simple quilt looks great with solids, prints, or a combination of the two. I used Robert Kaufman Kona Solids for this quilt, and my favorite part is the backing: 108’’ gray crosshatch. I think it is not too much hyperbole to say that 108’’ backing is one of the best things about quilting.
The quilt measures 68" x 76", and this 8 page pattern has clear instructions, full color illustrations, and coloring pages to help plan your quilt.
I love this quilt made in solids— it lives on my couch in the basement. Its the perfect couch quilt size! The quilting is a fun square in square, all over design.
I recently made a winter/cardinals version of this quilt, and am waiting to get it quilted. I think straight lines, a cross hatch, an all over circle or swirl, or a number of other patterns would look great on this quilt!
