The Mt. Olympus Quilt pattern includes instructions to make two sizes of quilts: 56’’ x 56’’ and 84’’ x 84’’. I used a now out of print Lizzy House Fat Quarter Bundle (Constellations) for this quilt—the pattern wasn’t specifically made for fat quarters, so I pieced a few of the bigger squares. By the time I was ready to make this quilt, I realized that the fabric was out of print and I couldn’t get anymore—sometimes, you have to be a bit creative to make something turn out just how you want it!

I used one of the low volume Constellations prints intermittently throughout the quilt, and I think that makes it really fun! I made this one for a nephew (and a matching one for a niece), and think it would be such a fun rainbow quilt, or black and white quilt, or to use with a favorite fat quarter bundle.

This quilt lends itself really well to a number of different quilting motifs—I had this quilt long armed with a rectangle in rectangle motif, but curvy all over quilting, or a crosshatch, would be especially great with this quilt pattern!

This quilt is perfect for a beginner, or someone who has made a million quilts in the past. Happy sewing.
